Church Planting
“And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.”
On April 30, 2025, the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Yekepa was particularized. Fifteen individuals made a public profession of faith and became communicant members of the church. Seven of these individuals were baptized upon their profession. A congregational meeting was held after the morning worship service, and Mr. Eastman Sibley was elected to serve as Stated Supply of the congregation.
Lord’s Day morning service at River Crest Presbyterian Church in Mt. Barclay. Pastor Tim Worrell preached an evangelistic sermon based on the following C’s: Creation, Curse, Covenant, Christ, Church, Consummation, and Commitment. Timothy Joe, a graduate of African Bible College and student at Westminster Theological Academy, is the Stated Supply Pastor of this church plant.
Pastor Worrell was able to have Eastman Sibley, David Weyoh, and Timothy Joe down to the African Bible College house at the ELWA Campus for two days to discuss biblical doctrine and principles relative to worship and church government. Our hope and prayer is that this informal association of three Presbyterian churches will leads to the formation of an indigenous Liberian Presbytery in the years to come.
